Sustainability - New Zealand

Sustainability –Sustainable practices are obvious in New Zealand, for example; 

1.       No pick-up trucks

2.       No Lexus

3.       No Hummers

4.       No SUVs.

5.       No large Benz

6.       Smart cars

7.       Hotel rooms are for sleeping, not living

8.       No A/C in All Seasons, windows and sliding doors open for fresh air

9.       Electrical outlets must be turned on for use, that’s got to be a huge savings.  (Try charging your computer for an hour only to learn you must switch the electrical outlet on)

10.   TV, 9 inch screen

11.   No tub, just shower
12.  Recycle bins, categorized by use, are available throughout the city

There are many small sustainable practices that can contribute to a more sustainable culture and environment.
